Thunder Bay Snow Removal, Cleared Before First Light
Thunder Bay Snow Removal keeps driveways, front walks, and small lots open all winter, on routes that finish while the streetlights are still on.

Who we are
About Thunder Bay Snow Removal
We clear residential driveways, walkways, and small commercial lots across Thunder Bay and the townships around it, all winter long.
A Thunder Bay winter is not an off-season side job. Our routes are drawn up in the fall, the machines are serviced before the first storm, and when the snow comes down at two in the morning, that is when the work starts.

Done before first light
Storm routes run through the night so the driveway is open when you head out, not after breakfast.
Seniors welcome
A good share of our route is retirees who are done fighting a shovel. We keep paths, steps, and mailbox access clear, not just the driveway.
Ready for a Superior winter
When a cold snap locks in, salt gives up. We sand walks and driveways for grip and come back after the freezing drizzle, because around here ice is its own season.

Frequently Asked Questions
How much does snow removal cost in Thunder Bay?
The honest answer is that it depends on the property. A short straight driveway is one price, a double-wide with a long front walk and steps is another, and a corner lot is its own conversation. Give us the address and you will get a price for what is actually there, free.
When do you come after it snows?
Contract customers are on a route that starts when the snow stops falling, or overnight during a long storm. The goal is simple: cleared before you need to leave in the morning. One-off callouts get slotted in after route customers.
Do you offer seasonal contracts or one-time clearing?
Both. Most people take a seasonal contract that runs from the first snowfall to spring, with clearing triggered automatically by the storm. If you would rather call us only when it gets deep, we do that too.
Can you clear snow for an elderly parent?
Yes, and it is some of the most regular work we do. Adult children arrange a lot of our routes for parents who still live at home. We clear the driveway, the walk, the steps, and the path to the bins, and you can put the invoice in your name at your address.
Do you sand icy driveways?
We do. Thunder Bay gets long stretches where daytime melt freezes overnight and every surface turns to a rink. Sanding is part of a contract or available on its own, and we come back after freezing rain.
Do you take small commercial lots?
Yes — small parking lots, shop frontages, churches, and walkway networks are all regular work. Big industrial yards need a different class of machine, and if a property is beyond us we will say so instead of doing it badly.
